New Beads

Colorful Frosted Glass Beads. Size: 10mm. $3.00 per strand.
These beads are almost sold out, but I will have more in stock in two to four weeks.

The color of these beads are some of my favorites. I call them Candy Colored Glass beads.
They are 10mm in size and $3.00 a strand. I still have some strands in stock, and will order more soon.

Most of these strands are sold out, the strands that were not sold out I mixed together to make a color mix of beads. They are 8mm in size and are $2.50 per set.

Here are some video's that I took when I received these beads in the mail a few weeks ago.

Beads can be ordered on my Instagram account @MardiRobynSupplies or on my website www.MardiRobyn.com

Throwback Jewelry Photos: Unique Item for Jewelry Making

Several years ago I spent a lot of time making jewelry using unique items you would not normally consider making jewelry out of, like the pair of earring above. I made them using brand new sponges you use in the kitchen to wash dishes or clean the stove and counters. I cut the sponges into small square to make sponge beads for the earring.

I made this pair of earring by using twisters from a package!

This pair of earrings I made by straightening paper clips, twisting two color together and twisting them into the shape I wanted for the earring.

I made this pair of earring be using two dog bone shape paperclips that I bought at a store.

This style of earrings may be one of my favorites I have made using unique items. I made this pair of earrings using brand new rubber bands you use in hair!

What type of unique items do you use when you make jewelry?

DIY Keychain Holder Display

In April of this year I set up a booth at the Strawberry Festival in Castleberry, Alabama. I needed displays for my jewelry and accessories, so I went to Pinterest to find a tutorials for making displays.  I found a display for earrings and thought it would be perfect to modify the display to use for displaying my handmade keychains.

Material:

1. Flower Vases.
2. Wooden Dowels.
3. Glass Stones.
4. Cloths Pins.

I filled the flower vases half way with decorative glass stones, next I sat a wooden dowel in the center of the vase and added more glass stones around it to hold the dowel in place.  Next I added cloths pins to the wooden dowels.

For this display I added more cloths pins.

One display filled with my keychains!

Second Keychain Holder Display.

Simple, easy DIY Project to help make display tables at festivals look nice and organized.

Throwback Jewelry Photo's: Week 2

I like how the purple heart and pink beads colors compliment each other. I like to think this bracelet was given to a child and enjoyed. I don't know if it was or not, but that is what I like to think.

These pretty beads were some of the glass beads my Mama bought for me at the Pet Store, remember that story from last weeks post?

I remember making this bracelet and thinking it was a challenge at the time because of it's three strands, and the fact seed beads are tiny!

Green and Pink plastic beads made up this cute bracelet.

This particular bracelet was one of my favorites. In fact I think I kept it and stored it with some other bracelets of mine.   The dark orange beads are beads bought from the Pet Store, the dark purple beads are plastic pony beads, and the mini blue pony beads glow in the dark!

Throwback Jewelry Photo's: Post 1

Last week I came across picture of jewelry I made years ago. I thought these pictures were gone. I was happily surprised when I found them.  The bracelet above I made using mini blue and white glow in the dark pony beads.

This bracelet I made using blue glass beads and golden yellow pony beads. The blue beads have a unique story.  One day my Mama and I went to a Pet Store in Monroeville, Alabama. I believe I was sixteen at the time.  While at the checkout at the Pet Store, we saw a container of beads sitting on the container.  The woman working there said she sold beads! I remember how excited I was to find somewhere else nearby that sold beads besides Wally World.

For this bracelet I used a combination of plastic beads. Clear, pearl white, and red.

This bracelet I made or did a family member make it? I do not remember. I do remember liking how pretty it looked, even though the beads were plastic.

This bracelet turned out colorful!  I used a variety of shapes, all plastic beads.

I enjoy looking back at jewelry I have made.  Looking at these pictures along with others I came across inspired me to start a new blog series. Throwback Jewelry Photo's. Ever so often I post a throwback jewelry photo on my Instagram (MardiRobyn), so why not start a series of blog posts?

Check back right here, every Thursday for four or five throwback jewelry photo's.

Philippians 4:13 and Music Themed Jewelry

Some of my favorite bracelet bangles and earrings I carry in my shop. I did not make these. They are made by a manufacturer with sells them for resale.  Take a look!

I enjoy wearing my bangle bracelet like this!  It is a reminder that I can do all things through Jesus who gives me strength.

I do not play the guitar, but I like this bracelet!

These are cute!  I like to sing, so of course I wanted to carry these earrings in my shop.

For as long as I can remember I like the style of old-fashion microphones!
