Our Christmas Decorations This Year

This year my Daddy, Mama and I decided to keep the Christmas decorating simple. I thought it would be a good idea to put up Mama's white Christmas tree with blue lights and no decorations to match the new wall paint and remodeling in the living room.  It turned out more beautiful then I imagined.

Mama unpacked this beautiful pinecone display my Aunt Pat made for us last year.

This next display turned out great. My Daddy picked the holly branches thinking of decorating a wall with them, but it did not turn out how he wanted it to look. My Mama arranged them inside a glass dish and put white candles in the middle. I think she did a great job. It is beautiful!

It was my idea to display my Mama's beautiful Christmas holly and candle decoration on this stand in our living room.

I do not have pictures of the other decorations, but I put up my snowflake wall arrangement in my bathroom and my Daddy put fake outdoor candy canes on our front porch.  Both arrangements looked great!

I enjoyed this Christmas. Simple decorating, and spent a lot of time with family.

I am blessed.

Handmade Gifts I Made My Parents for Christmas

This year I enjoyed making handmade gifts for my Daddy and Mama in addition to the store bought gifts I bought for them. Here are pictures of what I made them.

I took this stainless steel beadable cake slicer and added metal spacer beads that have rhinestones embedded in them. I used three different color blue rhinestone spacer beads. I added the Number One Mom charm. I wished it would read "Mama" because that is what I call her, but I like how the cake slicer turned out, and so did my Mama.

A closer view!

I made my Daddy this key chain for Christmas.  I made my Mama a key chain for Mother's Day or her Birthday one that reads "Mommy's Girl."

I took this metal silver color pen with black ink and added black metal mesh beads and a silver micro pave black Cubic Zirconia bead.  I gave this to my Daddy. I made my Mama a pen earlier this year.

When I was a little girl my Daddy and Mama let me and my oldest nephew open one Christmas gift on Christmas Eve.   This year I told my Daddy and Mama the tables have turned and now that I am grown I wanted to give them a gift each on Christmas Eve, so I gave them my handmade gifts on Christmas Eve night and the store bought gifts Christmas morning.

Did y'all make any Christmas gifts this year? I would like to hear about them!

What to Blog About

Do you ever want to blog but you are not sure what to blog about so you don't? Or you have a lot of ideas for blogging and when you sit down to blog one of the idea you think to yourself "No, not now?" And then there are times when you want to blog, like now and I have no idea where I am going with this.

I miss blogging when words seemed to flow like water and I almost always had something to blog about that I felt was good content, or important.

Life this year has been nothing like I expected or planned. There have been a lot of bad but a lot of good as well.

I am looking forward to decorating for Christmas this year.  We had a front and back porch built during the summer. I am going to have fun decorating the front porch.  I am not sure I will decorate the back porch. People will see the front porch faster.

The Dollar Tree and Dollar General have some great decorations this year, so does Walmart and there are three outdoor decorations I saw at a Lowes that I want to order or go back to the store and buy for our front yard.

My Parents don't mind if I decorate the house.  I am glad, because I enjoy decorating.

I have some DIY Christmas projects that I want to work on and finish in time for Christmas. One DIY project is for the outdoors.  Actually two, I want to find some pool noodles on clearance before they are gone in the stores.  I found some tutorials on outdoor decorations using pool noodles, I want to make them.

I plan on making videos for my YouTube channel of almost if not all of the DIY Christmas projects I do this year.

Do y'all like to decorate for Christmas? Are y'all looking forward to Christmas?   I would love to hear from you in the comments section.  I will reply!

I am back to not knowing what to blog about, so I will end this blog post!

Have a great night.

My Niece and Her Pink Keyboard

For Christmas my Parents and I gave my three year old niece this pink forty-one key keyboard that came with a stand for music books and sheetmusic and a black microphone that plugs into the back of the keyboard
My niece loved it. She stayed a few days with my Parents and I. While she was here we played with her keyboard and sang into her microphone.
She would sing into the microphone and at times make yodeling sounds Grandpa taught her during the summer.
Her favorite was telling me to sing while she played the keyboard. She and I had a lot of fun.
I love my sweet niece thank Thank God for her.

Christmas Decor at my Doctors Office in Mississippi and Pictures of Me Acting Silly

I had a Doctors appointment a few days before Christmas. I took a picture in front of their Christmas tree in the waiting room.
While waiting in the Doctors office, I like to take random pictures of myself to occupy my time. I promise I am not conceited or vain.

The t-shirt I wore under my red velour zip up hoodie.

Smile!

Acting silly.
Beautiful decor at my Doctors office.

So pretty!!
